The latest fund raising event we have taken part in is the annual ROTARY SPONSORED WALK. About 20 of us walked over 12 miles, in the rain, dressed in fairy wings, carrying fairy wands. We raised quite a few hundred pounds for both the Rotary Club itself, but also for our own Guide Unit. But we haven't decided how we want to spend it yet.
We walked from Luton Sixth Form College to Streatley, through Hexton (had a Kit Kat), onto Pegsdon, up the Icknield Way to Telegraph Hill, to Lilly Village Hall (for scones) back via Butterfield Green an down Bradgers Hill to Sixth Form College again before going home for a well earned hot soak in the bath.
WELL DONE to all the walkers, however far you walked!!!!
